Pressure washing invoice template
A pressure washing invoice should match the surfaces and treatments the customer accepted, name the service date and address, and show the balance left to pay. Use separate lines for approved extras and credit any deposit. The filled example bills a driveway and path, with payment due after completion.
Filled invoice example
The driveway and path are priced at $0.25 per sq ft, the hard-surface rate Dirt Busters and Squeegee Guys both publish.
Wash concrete driveway; ordinary surface dirt: 800 square feet × $0.25 = $200.
Wash connected concrete path: 120 square feet × $0.25 = $30.
Total before tax: $230. No deposit. Pay on completion after the agreed surfaces have been cleaned. Late fees: none.
Payments received in this example: $0. Balance before tax: $230. Enter an actual payment in the maker to reduce the balance.

How do you match the invoice to the completed wash?
Carry forward the accepted quote reference and identify the service date. Keep the driveway and path as separate measured lines so the customer can recognize the work. Do not change the unit from square feet to hours after the fact unless hourly billing was the agreement.
Add only extras the customer approved. If you treated an oil stain or cleaned another surface, use the same description and price as the accepted change. Mention unresolved damage separately in the completion note; it should not look like unfinished work that was included in the invoice total.
What should the payment section show?
Show the service subtotal, applicable tax, invoice total, any deposit or earlier payment, and the amount still due. The sample assumes no deposit. If the customer paid before the visit, credit that payment with its date or reference rather than lowering a surface quantity to force the balance.
Use the wording “Payment due on completion” only when that matches the agreed terms. For a later deadline, enter a specific due date. Include the payment methods you accept and the invoice reference the customer should use. Check a payment link before sending it, especially when copying details from another job.
What helps resolve a payment question quickly?
A brief completion note and useful before-and-after photos can show what was cleaned. Keep the photographs consistent enough for the customer to understand the result. Explain any separately quoted restoration work without mixing that future proposal into the current invoice balance.
The sample says “Late fees: none.” Use a different late-fee term only when it was agreed and fits the rules that apply to your business. If payment is late, send a short reminder containing the property, invoice reference, amount and payment instructions. Record a partial payment before asking for the remaining sum.
When the invoice is paid, retain a receipt and the accepted scope with your job records. Your accounting software can remain the payment ledger. This document gives the customer a clear record of the actual exterior cleaning visit.
Frequently asked questions
Do I bill separately for sealer applied after washing?
Yes, if sealing was separately approved. Describe the surface and product scope on its own line. A washing invoice should not silently add a restoration service the customer did not accept.
Should a bundle discount appear on the invoice?
Keep the agreed combined price visible. If the accepted quote showed a discount, carry it through consistently so the customer can reconcile the total.
What if rain postponed part of the work?
Invoice the completed portion according to the agreed billing arrangement and describe what remains. Avoid presenting an unfinished surface as completed merely because it was on the original quote.
