What goes on a carpet cleaning invoice?

The date and address, each room or package cleaned, stairs, hallways and every treatment, at the prices on the estimate. Add any extra room or spot treatment agreed on site as its own line.

Note any stain that did not come out and why. It answers the question before the customer finds it on their own.

How do you bill extras found on the day?

Price them before you do them and put them on the invoice with the time they were agreed: “Pet treatment, living room, agreed on site.” Never fold them into the package price after the fact.

If an oversized room counted as two, show it as two rooms so the arithmetic matches your price list.

How should payment and late fees read?

Ask for payment when the work is done and list how you take it. If you charge a late fee, put the amount and its start date on this first invoice.

For repeat customers, one invoice per visit with the rooms listed makes the next quote a copy of this one.
