Carpet cleaning price list template

Carpet cleaners publish per-room prices with a size cap, or room-count packages. EK Carpet Cleaning in Chicago lists a standard room at $48, a staircase of up to 14 steps at $45 and a $110 minimum; My Carpet Master in Dallas–Fort Worth sells three rooms for $169 (checked October 2026). Each line needs its unit, the size or step cap, what’s included, and which treatments you price only after seeing the carpet.

EK Carpet Cleaning’s room prices sit under a $110 visit minimum, with a size cap of 150 sq ft for a standard room and 250 sq ft for a large one. Its stairs are priced per flight of up to 14 steps.

What counts as a room on a carpet cleaning price list?

Print the rule under the prices, because it’s the first thing customers ask. Give the size cap for a standard and a large room, say whether hallways, walk-in closets and landings count, and say how you charge for open-plan spaces and finished basements (per square foot is simplest). Decide whether an L-shaped living-dining room is one room or two, and print that too.

Should you publish carpet cleaning prices or quote on site?

Publish room prices. Rooms are what customers compare, and someone who can count their rooms can book without a call. Keep off the sheet whatever depends on what you find: pet urine through to the pad, water damage, delamination, and rugs that need shop cleaning. Mark those “quoted on inspection”, so the published room price stays honest.

The cost of publishing is that a lower headline price can undercut you. Answer it on the sheet: show pre-spray, spot treatment and light furniture moving as included next to the room price, and show the minimum. A customer holding your sheet next to a cheaper room rate can then see what the cheaper price leaves out.

How do you show packages, stairs and add-ons?

Lead with room-count packages if most of your jobs are three or four rooms, the way My Carpet Master sets out its prices. Under them, list single rooms for small jobs, stairs per flight with the step limit, and add-ons with a unit each: pet treatment per area, protector per room, upholstery per piece. A customer should be able to add up their own job from the sheet.

Frequently asked questions

Should I put a seasonal special on the carpet price list?

If you run one, give it an end date and a fixed scope, such as three rooms and a hallway, and keep your regular prices beside it. A special with no end date becomes your price. Run it in your slow weeks, not the weeks before the holidays when people book anyway.

How often should I update the carpet price list?

When your costs move or your calendar fills. Chemicals, fuel and truck upkeep are the costs that creep; check them against your room price whenever you reorder. Date the sheet so an old flyer on someone’s fridge doesn’t get quoted back to you at last year’s price.

Should upholstery and rugs go on the same sheet?

Yes, under their own heading with a unit for each: per seat or per piece for upholstery, per square foot for area rugs. Customers booking carpet often add a sofa, and it’s easier to agree that price before you arrive. Leave off rugs that need shop cleaning or fringe work, and quote those after you see them.
