Car detailing quote template with a filled example

A detailing quote should name the vehicle and its size class, the package and what it includes, any add-ons, and what you need on site. This example quotes a full detail on a mid-size SUV at $270 with a ceramic spray sealant at $60, $330 in all.

Example: full detail on a mid-size SUV

The full detail sits at the median published price for an SUV or truck; the sealant is Fresh Path’s published $60 add-on.

Full detail, mid-size SUV: 1 vehicle × $270 = $270.

Ceramic spray sealant: 1 vehicle × $60 = $60.

Total before tax: $330. No deposit. Payment due when the detail is finished. Late fees: none.

What should a detailing quote say?

The vehicle, its size class, the package and a plain list of what it includes. “Full detail” means different things at every business; the list is what the customer is buying.

Add the location and what you need there: a driveway or parking spot, shade if you have it, and whether you bring water and power.

How should add-ons appear?

Each as its own line with its price: pet hair, odor treatment, engine bay, headlight restoration. If you price an add-on only after seeing the vehicle, say so: “Heavy stains priced on site before we start.”

Keep coatings and paint correction off a basic detail quote unless the customer asked; quote them separately with the warranty years.

What terms belong on a detailing quote?

How long the price holds, any deposit, payment when the work is done, and what happens if it rains for an exterior job. Say how you handle a vehicle that turns out worse than described.

If the quote is for a maintenance plan, say it follows a first full detail and how often the visits come.

Frequently asked questions

Can I quote from photos?

Yes, with a line saying the price is confirmed when you see the vehicle. Ask for interior photos especially; that is where surprises hide.

Should the quote list the products I use?

Only where it matters to the customer, such as the coating brand and warranty. Otherwise describe the work, not the bottles.

How do I quote two vehicles at one address?

Price each vehicle and show a second-vehicle discount as its own line if you offer one; the trip is shared.
