Free house cleaning estimate template

A house cleaning estimate should settle the checklist as clearly as the price. Name the rooms, whether this is upkeep or a deep clean, and which appliance interiors or windows are included. This sample prices a regular maintenance visit by area and leaves additional tasks for the customer to approve separately.

Example: a regular maintenance clean

1,500 sq ft at $0.14 per sq ft, within HomeGuide’s regular-cleaning range.

Regular clean of reachable surfaces, floors, bathrooms and kitchen exterior: 1,500 square feet × $0.14 = $210.

Total before tax: $210. No deposit. Payment due after the scheduled clean. Late fees: none.

Offer valid for 14 days. The maker below lets you edit the work, quantities, rates and terms.

What should the house cleaning checklist include?

Write the rooms and the tasks the customer is buying. For the sample, reachable surfaces are dusted, floors are cleaned, bathrooms are cleaned and the kitchen exterior is wiped. Oven and refrigerator interiors, inside cabinets, laundry and interior glass are outside this maintenance scope. Add any of those that the customer chooses.

State what needs to be clear before arrival: counters, floors and the areas around fixtures. Name any rooms that are off limits and any delicate surfaces with special instructions. A short, specific checklist gives a returning cleaner a usable job note and gives the customer a fair basis for checking the visit.

How do you explain time and access?

For a fixed-price clean, use the time estimate internally and present the agreed scope and total. If you sell a time allowance, label it in cleaner-hours and name the priorities. Make clear what happens when the allowance is nearly used: you contact the customer or finish the agreed priority rooms rather than quietly expanding the bill.

Confirm entry, parking, pets, water and any supplies the customer provides. Keep entry codes out of a document that might be forwarded widely; use your normal private arrangement for access. For recurring work, write the visit frequency and distinguish the initial reset from the later maintenance clean.

How do you finish the quote before sending it?

Check the home size, checklist and visit type together. A move-out request should not inherit a maintenance rate without reviewing the empty cabinets, appliances and condition. Show the accepted extras on separate lines so the customer can choose them without losing sight of the core clean.

This example holds its price for fourteen days, takes no deposit and is paid after the clean. Edit those choices to match your booking. Confirm a date with the customer after they accept; a printed estimate alone does not reserve a slot. Use Print to save the finished quote as a PDF with the actual service address and customer details.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this for a move-out clean?

Yes. Replace the maintenance checklist with the empty-home tasks, review the condition and recalculate the price. State whether cabinets, appliances and interior windows are included.

How do I quote a team of cleaners?

Use total cleaner-hours in an hourly quote, or one fixed total for the agreed checklist. Label the time basis explicitly so the customer can tell whether the rate covers one person or the whole team.

Should recurring visits use the same estimate?

They can use one accepted service description if the rooms, tasks and frequency stay the same. Record a separate price for the first deep clean and agree changes when the condition or scope changes.
