How were these junk removal prices collected?

We read the price pages of 30 junk removal companies in 20 states on October 15, 2026 and recorded each price as the company publishes it. A range counts at its midpoint and a “from” price at its starting figure. Pages quoting area averages, franchise brand pages with no local list and pages with conflicting figures are left out.

Load prices only compare when the trucks do. Junk Raider in Charlotte fills a 20-ft box truck holding about 47 cubic yards; Just Haul It in Maricopa uses a 12 by 6.5 ft trailer holding about 10.6. The full list below gives each company’s truck size where it publishes one.

What does a quarter, half and full load cost?

The median quarter load is $252 across 20 companies, the half load $395 across 21 and the full load $650 across 21, with the middle half of full loads at $595–$750. Just Haul It is lowest at $380 for its full trailer; Junk Raider is highest at about $1,890 for a 47-cubic-yard box truck.

By the cubic yard the spread narrows. Your Junk Guys in Canton, Georgia, charges $750 for 28 cubic yards and Junk Removal Taxi in Philadelphia $680 for 28.44, both about $24–$27 a yard.

What minimum do junk removal companies charge?

The median minimum is $120 across 18 companies, with the middle half at $99–$145. Junk Gone Today in Cleveland starts curbside single items at $69; Grizzly Junk Pros in Stamford and In and Out in northern New Jersey set $179.

Most tie the minimum to a volume: Junk Galaxy in Knoxville covers the first 2 cubic yards, Junk Removal Taxi up to 2.5, and Swift Junk Removal in Tulsa about the space of one kitchen stove.

What do single items cost?

A single bulky item runs a median $125 across 10 companies, a mattress $82 and a couch $132. Pirates Junk Removal in Pinellas County starts furniture at $80; Junk Raider charges $150–$299 depending on size.

Companies that price by the load often add a surcharge for mattresses instead: $15 at Swift, $30 at Moore Junk Removal in Temple, Texas, $35 at Junk Happens in the Twin Cities and $50 at Grizzly.

What do appliances, hot tubs and pianos cost?

A refrigerator runs a median $112 across 10 companies, from $50 at the curb with Just Haul It to $150 at Junk-It-Quick in Fort Myers. Junk Same Day in Denver includes Freon recovery at $99; Action Junk Hauling in Seattle adds about $40 for it and Grizzly $50.

Hot tub removal runs a median $400 across 21 companies, from $249 at Junk Raider to $595 at Action Junk Hauling; G.I. Junk Removal in Portland prices by size, $400 for a 2–3-person tub to $775 for 6 or more. Pianos run a median $275.

How should you use these numbers to set your own price?

Know your truck in cubic yards, then compare your quarter, half and full prices with the medians for a similar size. If your full load is under $595, you are cheaper than about three quarters of these companies; check that the dump fee, fuel and the second person’s hours are in it.

Then price the job in the calculator on this page and send the result as a quote that names what goes on the truck.

What does each company publish?

These are the prices behind the figures above, as each company words them, read on October 15, 2026. Up to five counted prices are shown per company, or its first three where none fits a line in the table; every full list is linked in the sources.

Frequently asked questions

Why do full-load prices vary so much?

Truck size first. A full load is 10.6 cubic yards in Just Haul It’s trailer and about 47 in Junk Raider’s box truck. Divide each price by the yards before you compare.

Do these prices include dump fees?

Most say so: Just Haul It, Swift, Junk Same Day, Your Junk Guys, In and Out and Junk Seattle include disposal in the load price. Richie Bros includes disposal up to one ton, and Oak City Hauling 1.5 tons before $54 a ton.

How current are these prices?

All were read on October 15, 2026. Junk Same Day reviewed its prices in August 2026; Junk Gone Today’s page carries an April 2023 notice that prices are rising, so its figures may be low.
