What do companies charge to remove a hot tub?

The median is $400 across 21 companies. Junk Raider in Charlotte starts at $249, JunkGuys San Antonio charges $300 for any size, Junk Same Day in Denver from $349 and Canyons in Salt Lake County $450. Action Junk Hauling in Seattle starts at $595 for easy access and Junk Galaxy in Knoxville around $600.

Read what each price assumes. Just Haul It’s $300–$500 expects the customer to drain and disconnect the tub, Grizzly Junk Pros’ $359–$809 covers only the hauling half of the job, and Junk Same Day’s includes disconnecting and taking it apart.

How does size change the price?

Price by seats or by the load it makes once cut up. G.I. Junk Removal charges $400 for a 2–3-person tub, $550 for 4, $699 for 5 and $775 for 6 or more. A large tub cut into sections fills most of a trailer, so its price lands near a full load.

Measure it and count the seats when you quote, and ask whether the steps, cover and cover lifter go too.

What makes a hot tub job harder?

Access, decks and power. A tub on a raised deck, behind a fence with a narrow gate or set into the ground takes longer to cut out and carry. Oak City Hauling in Raleigh adds a disconnect charge to its $399–$549, and Action’s $595 is for easy access only.

Agree who drains the tub and who disconnects the power before the day. If the customer or their electrician does it, say so on the quote; if you do, price it.

What should a hot tub removal quote say?

The size, where it sits, who drains and disconnects it, whether the steps and cover go, and what is left behind: the pad, the wiring stub, the deck boards you had to lift.

Close with the price for the whole job and one line for anything you may find, such as rot under the tub or a frame bolted to the deck, priced before you start on it.

Frequently asked questions

Should I drain the hot tub before removal?

Say who does it on the quote. Just Haul It’s price assumes the customer drains and disconnects it; Junk Same Day includes disconnecting.

Do I remove the concrete pad too?

Only if the quote says so. Breaking out a pad is demolition with its own price; leave it, or quote it as a separate line after you have seen it.

Can a hot tub be removed whole?

Sometimes, with a clear path and enough hands, but several companies here cut it up on site: Just Haul It, Junk Same Day and Action Junk Hauling all price for taking it apart.
