Use a marketplace form to publish and manage an item listing. Use a notes app when you need a simple draft you can revise. Compare the three approaches

These are complementary tools. A seller with one simple item may need only the marketplace form. A person gathering measurements over two evenings may find a notes draft easier. A grader is useful when the draft looks finished but the buyer still lacks a key detail. You can improve the draft without publishing it.

Start with evidence rather than attractive adjectives

Consider a fictional table draft: “Beautiful solid oak table, perfect condition, $80.” The seller has measured it and photographed a mark but has not checked the material. An enthusiastic rewrite would make the unsupported claims sound smoother. A useful review changes the factual job: preserve the measurement, describe the mark and leave material unconfirmed.

The worked table listing shows a complete result with supplied dimensions and collection details. The unknown-material example demonstrates a different task: removing a claim that the available evidence does not support. Neither needs a guessed brand, model, age or original retail price to sound useful.

As a concrete platform example, eBay requires accurate descriptions and consistent condition across listing fields. This principle is useful when drafting, but a generic score does not certify a listing against every marketplace's current rules. Use the actual destination's form and requirements when you publish.

Check the whole listing after a correction

If a bundle contains three boxes rather than four, correct the title, description and included-items statement together. Inspect the photos too: an image of four items can contradict the revised text even when every sentence is accurate. The bundle-count example follows that correction while preserving the stated bundle price.

Keep “not supplied” separate from a negative condition. Missing dimensions mean the draft lacks measurements, not that the item is too large. An unanswered question about a scratch does not mean the surface is unmarked. A supplied “not tested” statement must not become “works perfectly” merely because the rest of the listing is complete.

Finish with a checkable draft

For one ordinary item, collect its identity, included pieces, supplied dimensions, observed condition, intended price and collection or shipping details you are ready to state. Review how those facts appear together. If a measurement changes, use the same units and correct every place that repeats it.

The public grader examples are fictional settings that can be read without an account. Your own item details belong in the normal fields. The takeaway copies only item details you marked Recorded into the draft; unknowns, missing details and photo notes remain in a separate review section. It does not rewrite your wording or find contradictions for you. When the draft is ready, you choose the platform and use its publishing controls.
