Write a Marketplace listing from photos
Buyers need the item, size, condition and pickup or shipping details before they can decide. Add your photos and those facts, then ask for a Facebook Marketplace, eBay or Etsy listing. Put visible wear where a buyer will see it, choose your asking price and copy the title and description into the marketplace.
What details help a buyer decide?
Lead with the item, size and feature a buyer is likely to search for. “Six-drawer wood dresser, 52 inches wide” tells them more than “Beautiful bargain”. Put a condition issue where someone will see it before arranging a visit. A scratched drawer and a loose drawer runner are different problems; explain which one the item has and show it in a close-up.
Add the practical details that prevent repetitive messages: measurements, included accessories, pickup area and whether the buyer needs help loading it. For shipping, check the packed size and weight before choosing the shipping terms. Use brand, material and age when you know them. If you are unsure about the wood species or service history, describe what you can establish instead of making a claim the photos cannot support.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use the same description on different marketplaces?
Use the same item facts, then adjust the length and required fields for each marketplace. Facebook Marketplace buyers often need pickup details quickly. An eBay listing may need separate condition and shipping fields. Etsy listings need the item and shop details relevant to that sale.
Should I mention small scratches?
Mention visible wear clearly and include a close-up. That helps a buyer decide before they travel or pay. Describe the location and effect of the mark rather than hiding it in a vague “used condition” sentence.
Will it publish the listing for me?
You copy the wording into the marketplace you use, add the photos and set your price and delivery terms there. That gives you a final chance to check the platform’s fields and see the listing as a buyer will see it.
