Snow plowing estimate template for per-push service

A snow-plowing estimate needs a price per service, the snowfall trigger, the exact area and the rule for extra passes. This example uses Total Wash’s $80 two- to three-car driveway tier with salt included. It is a per-push agreement; a seasonal cap and installment schedule need their own accepted terms.

Example: standard driveway with salt included

Uses The Total Wash Co.’s published Madison two- to three-car rate of $80 per push.

Clear standard driveway and apply salt: 1 push × $80 = $80.

Total before tax: $80. No deposit. Payment due after each completed push. Late fees: none.

Offer valid for 14 days. The maker below lets you edit the work, quantities, rates and terms.

How do you define the area and clearing trigger?

Attach a photo or sketch showing the driveway, turnaround, parking area, walks and snow-storage positions. Mark fixed obstacles and note gravel or uneven paving. The service address and billing contact should be on the estimate, along with the person who can approve a change during a storm.

Write the depth that starts service and the expected service window. This example uses a one-inch trigger from Total Wash’s published card. If the customer wants an earlier visit, hand-cleared steps or a different finish, put that work into the scope and rate before booking.

Which storm and access terms should you include?

Set the rule for a continuing storm, drifting snow, refreeze and the berm left by a street plow. State whether a return pass is included in the first charge or counts as another service. A customer should be able to read the estimate and know why a second visit would be billed.

Explain where cars must be parked and what happens when the truck cannot reach the agreed area. Identify snow-stacking limits and who authorizes hauling if those spaces fill. Keep off-site hauling as a separate scope with a price approved before the snow is moved.

How do you turn this into a seasonal estimate?

Replace the per-push line with the season total and write the start and end dates, included visits, heavy-storm counting rule, extra-visit price and installment dates. Total Wash’s standard-driveway example is $1,040 in five $208 payments, with up to 16 counted visits; storms of six inches or more count as two.

Use only the terms you intend to offer. The sample per-push estimate has no deposit, is valid for fourteen days and is paid after each completed service. Those are editable booking choices. Keep salt inside the price when sold as included, and avoid adding a second de-icing line for the same application.

Print the accepted estimate and keep a short service record for every visit: date, areas cleared, material applied and any access problem. Match invoices to that record and the agreed billing unit. The customer can then connect a charge to the pass they received.

Frequently asked questions

Can the estimate cover several properties?

List each address, its cleared areas and price separately. Shared route travel can affect your costs, but each property still needs a clear scope and service record. Identify who approves changes across the group.

Should salt have its own invoice line?

Use a separate line when it was separately priced in the estimate. When the accepted per-push rate includes salt, keep the application within that service description so the customer is not charged twice.

How do I show a seasonal installment?

State the full season price, installment amount and due dates in the agreement. An installment collects part of that accepted total; it is not an additional season fee. Credit payments against the same contract reference.
