Leaf removal estimate template with cleanup and disposal
A leaf-removal estimate should name the areas to clear, how the leaves leave the property and the finish after cleanup. This example prices six worker-hours plus one disposal charge using MJR’s Grand Rapids rate card. It covers lawn and bed cleanup; gutters, tree work and a final mow are separate.
Example: yard cleanup with haul-away
Six worker-hours at MJR’s $110 rate, plus its $150 disposal charge.
Gather and load leaves from lawn, beds and hard surfaces: 6 worker-hours × $110 = $660.
Haul and dispose of collected leaves: 1 job × $150 = $150.
Total before tax: $810. No deposit. Payment due after the agreed cleanup. Late fees: none.

Which parts of the yard should the estimate name?
List the lawn sections, beds, driveway, patio and fence lines included in the visit. Mark them on photos if the boundary is hard to describe. Name any area where leaves will stay as mulch. A general instruction to clean the yard can mean different things to the crew and the customer.
Identify the expected leaf condition and access. Note narrow gates, steps, street parking and the distance from the farthest bed to the truck. For a property manager, attach the unit or property reference and the contact who can approve extra work while the crew is on site.
How do you state the labor and hauling allowance?
The example uses total worker-hours, so a two-person crew working three hours uses the six-hour allowance. Decide whether you are selling a fixed completed job or time with an agreed limit. State that choice before the customer accepts; the same labor calculation can support either arrangement.
Keep haul-away visible. If leaves will be composted or staged on the property instead, replace the disposal line with the actual work. For a curbside-only booking, remove the yard-gathering scope and describe the pile position, accepted material and pickup allowance. Do not leave both service descriptions on one quote.
What changes should you settle before the crew starts?
Branches, trash and a second leaf fall can turn the agreed pile into a different job. Use this wording: “The price covers the listed areas and leaf condition. We will agree the price of additional material or work before removing it.” Keep the original scope available when the customer declines an extra.
Record the service window and how you will communicate a weather delay. The sample quote is open for seven days, takes no deposit and is paid after completion. Change those editable terms to match your booking. Include your business details, the service address and a reference the customer can use with payment.
Print the accepted estimate before the visit. After cleanup, photograph the cleared areas and note any material deliberately left behind. Those records show the finished work and give the next seasonal visit a useful starting point without making it part of this invoice.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use this for curbside leaf pickup?
Replace the gathering lines with the pickup allowance and extra vacuuming or loading time. State where the leaves must be staged and that mixed debris has a separate scope. Keep the destination and hauling in the price.
How do I show a minimum cleanup charge?
Show the minimum as the job price when it exceeds the calculated work total. Explain what that visit includes. Do not add the full minimum again on top of labor and disposal unless it represents separately agreed work.
Should the quote promise every leaf will be gone?
Define the finish for the booked visit and whether the trees will still be shedding. Name any areas intentionally left undisturbed. If another pass is wanted after the remaining leaves fall, quote that as a further visit.
